Alice Zhang

I am a MS/PhD student at the University of Texas at Austin in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering. I am working in the Human Signals Lab under the supervision of Prof. Edison Thomaz and am affiliated with the 6G@UT research center. My research interests are acoustic sensing and audio signal processing for human activity recognition.

I received my BS in Electrical Engineering from Georgia Tech. Prior to graduate school, I worked for two years as a digital design engineer at Applied Research Laboratories. In undergrad, I was a research assistant under the supervision of Prof. Yun Soung Kim working on flexible, wearable electronics. I have interned at Bose, Garmin and Northrop Grumman.

I am an AFAA-certified group fitness instructor and teach weekly Barre classes at UT RecSports. Come dance and exercise with me!
